About Our Professionals Program
Learn about our specialized addiction treatment program for medical & legal professionals
Working in the medical field or legal field can be both exceptionally rewarding and overwhelmingly stressful.
Depending on the type of job that one holds and the level of responsibility involved in the specific profession, some men and women resort to unhealthy coping methods in order to cope with stress, emotional pain, or occupational pressure.
Unfortunately, many people in the medical and legal professions turn to substance abuse in a misguided effort to cope with stressors in their lives. When this behavior leads to addiction, professional help is needed both to help the individual regain his or her health and to enable him or her to return to his or her career.
If you work in the medical or legal field, then you likely know the devastation that substance abuse can cause. You may have lost your license to practice medicine or law, received disciplinary action due to your substance abuse, or you may have even been fired from your job because your addiction prevented you from doing it well.
Whatever the circumstances that you have endured as a result of your addiction, we at Keystone can help. Our specialized Medical and Legal Professionals Treatment Track was created to assist individuals such as yourself in achieving sobriety and returning to your career with renewed vigor for the profession that you worked so hard to attain.

This program, which is rooted in the 12-Step Model for recovery, has assisted countless men and women in overcoming addiction and chemical dependency concerns and in being able to resume working in the medical or legal field. While participating in this treatment track, adults age 18 and older can make essential progress toward restoring their health and resuming their careers. If you have been referred to a diversionary program as a result of your substance abuse, our staff can collaborate with you and the program to ensure that you are taking the necessary steps needed to once again practice medicine or law.
As you navigate your road to recovery, you will participate in a blend of therapies that will help you to unearth, process, and overcome the issues that led you to abuse substances in the first place. The following are among the services that may be included in your customized treatment plan while you are healing in the Medical and Legal Professionals Treatment Track:
- Individual therapy

Furthermore, certain additional services are available if they are applicable to your recovery. Medically supervised detox services may be accessed if you come to Keystone physically dependent on substances of abuse. Medication management services are also offered so that any co-occurring mental health conditions can be treated at the same time.
